I just got back from Cape Cod, Ma. and Milford, NH. We had such a great trip!
I lived on Cape Cod for 9 years from 1975 to 1984. I now live near Cincinnati, Ohio. 2 of our grand children live on Cape Cod and 2 grand children live in Milford, NH., so we made the rounds in New England for 9 days.
If you ever want to visit a great example of a quaint New England town, Milford, NH looks like it came straight out of a New England coffee table book. It has it all; rural, close to Boston, close to skiing, close to the shore and close to great shopping!
This is the "Oval" in downtown Milford:
There was an Art Show on the "Oval" while we were there.
We had a great breakfast at a little place downtown called the Union St. Grill:

We shopped at the "Christmas Tree Shop" in Nashua, NH (which I try not to miss when I am there):
We spent $70.00 and came out with 7 bags of items from art work to bath towels. Love it!!!
Old Mills in Milford, NH:

Next it was on to Cape Cod...We did not stop in the "Christmas Tree Shop" at the "Sagamore Bridge" this time, (although I would have liked to):

We had an excellent breakfast at the "Dockside" in Hyannis for $4.99 complete with a view of the harbor:

This is the Church on Main St. we were married in (1982):
We took a stroll down main street in Hyannis. I bought 8 tee shirts and 1 hooded sweatshirt for $60.00 at the "Cape Cod Tee Shirt" Outlet on Main St. I live in short sleeve tee shirts in the summer...what a deal this was...2 for $10.00 and they are nice quality shirts!

Great Lunch at Spanky's on the Harbor and probably the Best Lobster Bisque, (lobster chowder) I have ever eaten. When I lived on Cape Cod I worked in many different seafood restaurants and never remember any lobster bisque as good as this!
I went book shopping in Border's in Hyannis.

Of course I purchased the new Stephenie Meyer novella "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner". I am lo0king forward to reading it!

This is my husband and our grand daughter Sara studying for her test (upside down)-Ha!

This is our grandson Bobby at his Baseball Game Friday night.
The man standing with him is Bernie Carbo;
He played with the Boston Red Sox: (1974-76, 1977-78):

"Bernie Carbo launched the greatest pinch-hit home run in Red Sox history during the 1975 World Series.
The Sox were four outs from elimination against Cincinnati’s Big Red Machine in Game 6 when Carbo came off the bench to smash a three-run home run into the center-field bleachers, tying the score at 6-6. The blast set up Carlton Fisk’s arm-waving, 12th-inning walkoff home run for the ages".
